Two wins in two weeks saw the Oban Lorne Ladies rugby team off to a great start to the season. On Sunday 24th October they entertained Edinburgh University 2nds at home with a 67-10 victory. Donna Smith started and ended the scoring with an incredible 7 tries and 6 conversions. Other tries from Karen MacCorquodale, Audrey Barr and Jennifer MacPhee scoring on her Oban Lorne debut secured the win.

Sunday 31st saw the girls travel to Lochinch, Glasgow to face Lismore. Early tries saw the ladies settle in to the match quickly and rack up more points than their previous win. The final score was 76-10 with Donna Smith grabbing 6 tries and 8 conversions. Subsequent scorers for the team included Fiona Steele, Audrey Barr, Ailie Howat, Jennifer MacLennan and Katherine MacKinnon scoring her first points for the club.

The ladies now have the challenge of hosting Stirling County on Sunday 7th November at Glencruitten. Kick off is at 2pm
