This season, the Girls’ Cup will again be sponsored by Brewin Dolphin and will run at under-15 and under-18 age bands. The format of the Cup is a Qualifier Round, followed by seeded knockout.  Teams will move through the competition and will finish competing at an appropriate level. Entries will be accepted from any affiliated school, club or composite team.  If a school / club does not have sufficient player numbers for a full squad, they can still participate - we will help to find a team for the them to combine with - if you are in this situation, please contact Car Stevenson, RDM (Women & Girls) for more information.

Brewin Dolphin Cup Qualifier Tournaments

Sunday 30th October 2011

In each area (East, Midlands, North and West), a Cup Qualifier Tournament will be run, with the format of each event dependant on the number of entries. Teams should enter the Area Qualifier appropriate to the location of their club / school.

For all 4 events, registration will be 11.30am, with kick off at 12.30pm.

East - Murrayfield Back Pitches (Murrayfield Stadium, Edinburgh EH12 5PJ)

Midlands - Fife Southern RFC (Harley Street, Rosyth, KY11 2NE)

North - Ross Sutherland RFC (Castle Road, Invergordon, IV18 0AZ)

West - Cartha Queens Park RFC (Dumbreck Road, Glasgow, G41 4SN)

Teams placed 1st and 2nd in these tournaments will proceed to the Cup Quarter Finals.  Teams placed 3rd and 4th in these tournaments will proceed to the Bowl Quarter Finals.  Any team that does not proceed from the Qualifier Tournaments or the Bowl Quarter Finals will be eligible to participate in the Emerging Teams Festivals taking place in February.

Participation in the Emerging Teams Festivals will be open to teams eliminated from the Cup at Cup Qualifier and Bowl Quarter Final stages.  In addition, any teams that did not enter the Cup competition will also be allowed to participate.  The format of the event will be decided on the day and will be dependant on team entries.
