This season, the Girls’ Cup is sponsored by Brewin Dolphin and will run at under-15 and under-18 age bands. The format of the Cup has changed to a tournament structure to increase the number of games that teams will be guaranteed. Teams will move through the competition and will finish competing at an appropriate level. Entries will be accepted from any affiliated school, club or composite team.

Brewin Dolphin Girls' Cup Qualifier Tournaments – Sunday 21 February 2010

**ALL QUALIFIER TOURNAMENTS CANCELLED DUE TO BAD WEATHER**

All teams entered will compete in the next round of the competition

In each rugby region, a Cup qualifier tournament will be run, with the format dependant on the number of entries. Teams should enter the area qualifier appropriate to the location of their club / school.

East - Portobello FP RFC (Cavalry Park, 129 Duddingston Road West, Edinburgh, EH15 3QN)

Midlands - Grangemouth RFC (Glensburgh Road, Grangemouth, FK3 8XL)

North - Culloden Academy (Keppoch Road, Culloden, IV2 7JZ)

West - Cartha Queens Park RFC (Dumbreck Road, Glasgow, G41 4SN)

Teams that finish first and second in these tournaments will be promoted to the Cup quarter-finals while teams placed third and fourth in these tournaments will be promoted to the Bowl quarter-finals. Any team not promoted will be eligible to enter the Brewin Dolphin Emerging Teams Plate Tournament.

Brewin Dolphin Girls' Cup Qualifier / Quarter-Final – Sunday 7 March 2010

There will be two Cup Qualifier / Quarter-Final events – Qualifier Event A (North and Midlands) and Qualifier Event B (East and West). Each event will be run as a round robin, with all teams playing each other once. Teams placed first and second will go through to the Cup semi-finals. Teams placed third and fourth will be promoted to the Shield semi-final.

The Emerging Teams Bowl Tournament will be held at a central venue and entry will be open to any new teams that have not participated in the Cup competition.

Brewin Dolphin Cup and Shield Finals - Sunday 25th April 2010

Winners of the Cup semi-finals will participate in the Cup Finals, which will take place at Murrayfield Stadium.

The Shield Finals will be contested by those teams that did not qualify for the Cup Semi-Finals and will be allocated a neutral venue, once the finalists are known.
