Scottish Rugby will host an open talent identification day on 4th September 2011 for all players aged 18 years old (on 1 January 2011) or over. Seventeen-year-olds may apply but must have player exception granted by Scottish Rugby. The talent day will focus on selecting the best possible players to represent Scotland Women and Scotland Women u20 squads, as well as selecting two Senior Regional Squads to compete against each other throughout the 2011-2012 season.

Scotland Women / Scotland Women u20 Selection Process

1. Attend Senior Regional Talent Identification Day (Part 1 Sept-Nov 2011) & (Part 2 Jan-Mar 2012)
2. Players will be selected to continue within the Senior Regional Programme OR invited to compete within the Scotland Series competition
3. Players who perform at the necessary levels within the Scotland Series competition may then be considered for the Scotland Women or Scotland Women U20's squads for 2011-2012 season
4. Players (within the Scotland Women and Scotland Women U20's squads) who under-perform will then be directed towards the Senior Regional Programme
