Lindsay Booth is running a Youth Rugby coaching course at the clubhouse on the weekend when Oban host the NDL (30 March). the first session is from 6-9pm on the 28th, the second session from 10-4pm on the 29th.
Here are the details: The SRU Youth Coaching Course Explained The SRU Youth Coaching course is a new programme that was piloted in 2006/07 season, to help young people 15-18yrs train as coaches and then coach at their club or school. This course aims to give the young coaches involved additional help and support to assist them in becoming confident and competent young coaches. This is achieved by providing additional sessions on the key elements of coaching and supported, mentored opportunities to practice their coaching skills. The course also gives young people the opportunity to see what it would be like to do the Scottish Rugby SVQ course. The key coaching skills modules and the opportunity to practice coaching in a supported environment is one of the main reasons the programme has been so successful&&.. Who is it for?
