The torrential downpour that had been falling on Glasgow for the best part a week unfortunately meant the Ladies game against Edinburgh Uni had to be postponed (new date TBC). It did, however, mean that the ladies could properly participate (go completely wild?!) in the HJRFC Christmas Night.
The Ladies entered two acts ??“ coach Kitch and a couple of girls sang their hearts out to Mustang Sally and the ???Santas??™ performed (destroyed?) All I Want For Christmas Is You. An instant crowd pleaser the ???Santas??™ made it into the final along with the YMCA boys from the First XV (with their rehearsed crotch banging) and Ross ???can actually sing??™ Calderwell who performed a David Gray number. Unlucky to miss out on the final was the Ladies teams' biggest fan and new best friend, Cammy Kerr, with his touching rendition of Flashdance. Highlights have to include coming joint 2nd (yes ??“ the best singer won in the end), the committee room banter (performers only!), topless twister and re-running the fun on Sunday (morgans and coke anybody?!).
