A fast- paced Kirkcaldy underlined their position as a Premier League team against a National League side who nonetheless competed with a massive amount of heart.

Glasgow University, obviously enjoying the occasion and having worked hard to compete at this higher level put everything into their performance, underlined by a score in the games final minutes.

SWRU Bowl Final
Morgan Dundee WRFC 5 Melrose LRFC 44

Last years runners-up Melrose took on National Development League side Morgan Dundee, the latter in their first season of existence, in a well-fought encounter.

Melrose put in a solid performance and, despite the scoreline, their opponents refused to let heads drop. Playing with plenty of spirit, Morgan charged down the ball for a well deserved try late in the second half.

Both sides featured current U18 players, in outstanding form for their respective sides, showing great promise for the future.
