NEW START LANGHOLM GIRLS TRAIN AT NETHERDALE PDF Print
Friday, 11 April 2008
Twelve girls and with two adults from new-start Girl's club, Langholm, attended a rugby development morning at Netherdale on 30 March.

The players worked well for over an hour on several aspects of the game including handling, position of hands and body when giving and receiving a pass, and communication.

The skills day then culminated in a six a-side two-hand touch match followed by a full contact game.

Three enthusiastic Langholm players stayed on after the training morning and ran out for Gala U15 against a Welsh touring team.

SWRU National Women's Rugby Development Officer, Lindsey Booth, said: "I was very impressed with skill levels of the girls who will soon form a side to compete against other teams."

A second joint training and game session will soon take place at Langholm in the near future Mid May.
