Rugby Ecosse girls had to wait until almost 8 O??™clock local time for their crack at a semi-final place at the expense of local select, Arabian Gulf.
What we got however was the Cara D??™Silva show, the winger scorching home for a superb hat trick which steeled the issue shortly after the interval before bringing of a try-saving tackle as her curtain call. The referee had scarcely blown for the start of the game when she scorched away on the right to open the Ecosse account. Three minutes later a slick handling move deep inside the Ecosse half put her in possession again and her searing pace over eighty yards left a string of opponents floundering in her wake. Neither try was converted but when she struck again with another pacy run to the line to complete her treble Julie Sanaghan took over the kicking duties and duly added the points.
