The SWRU are pleased to announce the SWRU U18 Pathway Squads for 2008/2009 season.
SWRU coaches have been identifying young talent over the last six months seeing over 250 U18 players and in the past month have hosted two talent identification sessions of which over 100 girls attended. This year there will be two SWRU U18 pathway Squads training and competing against each other over the next four months; the two squads will be named the south-east and central pathway squads. The squads will play three matches, the first match being held at Perth RFC 30 July at 6.30pm. This is the first year the Pathway Programme has been developed from the SWRU U18 National squad and the creation of two squads means that double the number of players will get access to high level coaching as part of a Scottish Rugby performance programme.
