If you have any questions about this role or your application please contact Jo Hull on 07780 660519 ROLE SPECIFICATION Head Coach Role and Responsibilities * Reports to SWRU Performance Manager / SWRU U18 Lead Programme Coach * Talent Identification – select an U18 squad for each region * To coach the players in accordance with the U18 syllabus * To attend, plan and deliver all coaching sessions * Store individual kit and equipment needed for programme * Liaise and provide on-going support for other coaches / management * Liaise with the Performance Manager – including planning and debriefs * Oversee adherence to code of conduct of coaching team and provide a positive role model to staff and players Qualifications * UKCC Level 2 coaching award * Working towards or completed the RugbyReady on line course Total Sessions/Commitment * X2 festivals (day) * X6 training sessions (eves – 2hrs) * X1 trial (day) Salary £500 + reasonable travel expenses Assistant Coach Roles and Responsibilities * Reports to Head Coach / SWRU U18 Lead Programme Coach * Talent Identification – assist in the selection of the U18 squad for each region * To coach the players in accordance with the U18 syllabus * To attend, plan and deliver all coaching sessions * Store individual kit and equipment needed for programme * Liaise with other coaches / management * Liaise with the Head Coach / Performance Manager – including planning and debriefs * Oversee adherence to code of conduct of coaching team and provide a positive role model to staff and players Qualifications * UKCC Level 1 coaching award * Working towards or completed the RugbyReady on line course Total Sessions * X2 festivals (day) * X6 training sessions (eves – 2hrs) * X1 trial (day) Salary * £300 fixed sum + reasonable travel expenses Manager Role and Responsibilities * To manage and facilitate all U18 sessions * Ensure that all training requirements and personal requirements are met * Co-ordinate the training programme along side the Head coach * Preparation and communication of all training / playing schedules to players and management * To be the first point of contact for the players/parents in liaison with Head Coach * Communicate with coaches any absentees from training / matches * Register players upon arrival and sign off on departure * Booking confirmation of facilities with SRU administration staff (requirements for weekend training / matches) * File all player contact details / emergency details * General welfare contact for each squad * The Team Manager should be at training fields and matches 1 hour prior to team arrival to ensure the following elements are prepared * Training equipment is available and ready for use * Dressing room and medical policies are adhered to at each venue * Agreed refreshments are available at each venue * All playing kit is ready for use * Liaise with referees * Adhere to codes of conduct and provide role model for staff and players * File any injuries (alongside physio) and any incidents in player files Total Sessions * X2 festivals (day) * X6 training sessions (eves – 2hrs) * X1 trial (day) Payment * £400 fixed sum+ reasonable travel expenses |
