U18 Girl's Rugby National Youth Cup Semi-Final: Aboyne/Banchory Acads. 34 v Cumnock RFC 19

On Easter Sunday afternoon, spectators at Deeside RFC on Aboyne Green enjoyed one of the best girls rugby games of the season as Aboyne/Banchory Acads. U18s met Cumnock RFC U18s in the National Youth Cup Semi Final. 

Both teams were well matched with play going from end to end and despite some very spirited defence from both teams the spectators were treated to some excellent tries.

Despite some strong and direct running from particularly Cumnock's scrum half, Aboyne/Banchory's backs when presented with good possesion from their forwards were able to unleash their pace and in the end proved too much for the visitors with the final score Aboyne/Banchory Acads. 34 (6 tries & 2 coversions), Cumnock RFC 19 (3 tries, 2 conversions).  

A particular mention must go to Aboyne/Banchory's Katie Rowlands who kicked her first ever conversions despite only taking over kicking duties from the injured Hollie Davidson last week.
