The National League is split into National 1 and National 2 and has 11 teams in total:
Each team plays each other home and away during the course of the season. Games are played at 15-a-side under full IRB Laws, with U19 Scrum Variations. Games can be played down to 12-a-side, but the opposition must match player numbers. League points are awarded as follows:
