The Premier League is made up of 2 divisions, with 6 teams to be contested by 6 teams in each division:

Premier 1

• Watsonians

Premier 2

• Aberdeenshire Quines
• Cartha Queens Park
• Glasgow University
• Kirkcaldy
• Melrose
• Morgan

Each team plays each other within their division home and away in the first part of the season.

The top 4 teams in Premier 1 then play home or away.

The bottom 2 teams from Premier 1 play the top 2 teams from Premier 2 home or away.

The bottom 4 teams from Premier 2 play home or away.

Games are played at 15-a-side under full IRB Laws.

League points are awarded as follows:

• Win - 4 points
• Draw - 2 points
• Loss - 1 point
• Try Bonus (4 or more tries) - 1 point
• Loss Bonus (lose by 7 or less points) - 1 point
